What is the Sault College Students’ Union (SCSU)? SCSU is the official student government at Sault College. We represent student voices, provide services and events, and advocate on your behalf.
Where is the SCSU office located? Our office is located in the F Wing - F1200. We are right across from the Health & Wellness Gym and right down the hall from Odeno. Drop by during office hours for help or to get involved!
What services does SCSU offer? We offer a range of services including student advocacy, the student emergency food bank, health and dental plan, events, and support for clubs.
How do I opt out of the health and dental plan? If you're already covered under another plan, you can opt out during the designated opt-out period at the start of the semester. Visit the Student Care Website for deadlines and instructions.
How can I join or start a club? It's easy! Fill out a club proposal form on our website or visit the office for support. We’ll help you get started! You can also check out the list of current on campus clubs to see if there is a club that you are interested in joining.
How can I find out about upcoming events? Follow us on social media @myscsu, check the upcoming events on our website, or drop by the office. We’ve always got something going on!
Can international students participate in SCSU events and clubs? Absolutely! All full-time, fee paying students, including international students, are members of SCSU and are welcome to join clubs, attend events, and use services.
How do I run in an SCSU election? Elections for the Board of Directors and Executive Team happens sometime between January-March each year. If a by-election is needed that will happen during the Fall Semester. Watch for nomination announcements or visit our Elections page for more info.
Can SCSU help with academic or student concerns? Yes. We can help you understand your rights, guide you through appeals or complaints, and connect you with the right campus supports.
How do I get involved with SCSU? You can volunteer, join a committee, run in an election, or work with us! It’s a great way to build skills, meet people, and make a difference on campus.
Hours of Availability We are available 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday - Friday in office, through email, or our social media.
